E-Visa to Brazil - Tourism and business Visa
E-Visa for Tourist Visa to Brazil is a multiple entry travel document implemented by the Brazilian government to simplify the visa application process and promote tourism. The e-Visa will be requested for US Citizens, Canadians and Australians as of April 10, 2024.
It came into force on November 21, 2017, with Law 13.445/2017 as an electronic Visa Visit Program and will be relaunched in January 2024 after an exemption period.
In 2024, travelers can choose to apply for E-Visa 100% online, eliminating the need for in-person visits to the Brazilian Embassy and reducing bureaucracy.
All travelers need a passport valid for at least one month from the date of application. If your passport has been validated for less than a month, you will need to renew it or require a new one before applying for your e-Visa. You should also have at least a blank page.
The Brazilian tourist e-Visa is valid for 2 years or until your passport expires, whatever happens first. If you change your passport you will need to apply for a new EVisa.

• Travel Itinerary: A confirmation of travel plans may be requested to demonstrate the purpose and duration of your stay.
• Proof of sufficient resources: Evidence of sufficient finances to support yourself during your stay in Brazil. This may include bank statements, credit card statements or any other document that confirms your financial stability.
• Additional Supporting Documents: Depending on your specific circumstances and the purpose of your visit, it may be necessary to provide additional supporting documents. For example, if you are visiting family or friends in Brazil, you may need an invitation letter from your host.
• If your birth certificate does not correspond to your passport, you must provide a driver’s license, and ID card or marriage certificate as proof of identity.
For minors traveling to Brazil, some additional visa requirements need to be provided:
• Copy of parent’s passport.
• Authorization letter: Includes a letter of authorization issued by one or both countries/legal guardians.
• Birth certificate of the minor

You can use the E-Visa to attend the following activities that will last less than 90 days such as: Business, Tourism, Journalism, Sports activities, Artistic activities, Seminars and conferences, Cultural and Scientific programs, Research activities, voluntary activities, to visit family members or for short term medical treatment. Prohibitions
This temporary visa is only for the purpose of a short stay. This means that you cannot reside or work in Brazil with an E-Visa.
